HP iPAQ 900 Business Messenger Series - Using the Office Mobile Applications

Use the Microsoft Office Mobile applications to create and edit documents, notes, presentations, and spreadsheets.
Using the Word Mobile application
Create and edit documents and templates in the Microsoft Word Mobile application. You can also work on documents and templates created on your computer and open Pocket Word (*.psw) documents.
  1. Tap Start > Office Mobile > Word Mobile.
  2. Tap New.
  3. Tap Menu to select from the following options.

    • Tap Format to format a document.
    • Tap File to save, rename, move, or delete a document. You can also send a document through e-mail or Bluetooth.
        note:
      If you edit a Word Mobile file, you will need to save it in .docx, .rtf, .txt, or .dotx format.
    • Tap Tools to check spelling, the word count, and insert the date.
Using the Excel Mobile application
Use the Microsoft Excel Mobile application to view, edit, and create charts and graphs. You can also insert formulas and functions in your worksheets.
  1. Tap Start > Office Mobile > Excel Mobile.
  2. Tap Menu to select from the following options.

    • Tap Format to format cells, charts, row, and columns.
    • Tap Insert to insert cells, chart, symbol, and functions.
    • Tap Edit to clear or delete cells.
    • Tap File to save, rename, move, or delete a worksheet.
  3. Tap View.

    • Tap Full Screen to view a worksheet in full screen mode.
    • Tap Toolbar to display a toolbar.
    • Tap Split to split the panes and view the different parts of a worksheet simultaneously.
    • Tap Freeze Panes to freeze the top and left-most panes in a worksheet to keep the row and column labels or the required data visible as you scroll through a worksheet.
Using the PowerPoint Mobile application
Use the Microsoft PowerPoint Mobile application to open and view slide show presentations created on your computer, open a presentation from an e-mail message. Download a presentation from a file share or the Internet or copy a presentation to your device from a storage card.
  1. Tap Start > Office Mobile > PowerPoint Mobile.
  2. Tap Menu to select from the following options.
    • Tap Set up Show to set up a slide show.
    • Tap Rename/Move... to rename or move a file.
    • Tap Delete to delete a file.
    • Tap Create Copy to create a copy of a presentation.
    • Tap Send via E-mail... or Beam File... to send a presentation through e-mail or Bluetooth.
  note:
Slide shows created in *.ppt or *.pps format with PowerPoint ‘97 and later can be viewed on the HP iPAQ 900 Business Messenger devices.
Using the OneNote Mobile application
Create and edit notes using the Microsoft OneNote Mobile application. Use this application to format text and insert text, photos, or audio in your notes.
  1. Tap Start > Office Mobile > OneNote Mobile.
  2. Tap Menu to select from the following options.

    • Tap Format to format the text in a note.
    • Tap List to add a numbered or bulleted list to a note.
    • Tap Insert Picture or Take Picture to insert photos from the device or from a camera.
    • Tap Insert Recording to insert a voice recording in a note.
