HP Designjet 650C Printer - Prints Slow or Makes Double Passes

Issue:
The printer is printing slowly or makes two carriage passes for every turn of the paper. This issue occurs if the printer's firmware is version 5.0 or newer.
Solution
To increase the print speed, set the print quality setting on the printer's front panel to Final.
Summary
When the printer (with firmware v 5.0 or newer) is set to Color, and Enhanced is chosen for quality, the printer will always print on a two-pass mode (also known as bidirectional mode).
  note:
The bidirectional mode is a feature of firmware revisions 5.0 or newer that improves print quality and helps eliminate banding.
