DESCRIPTION
The Fn+F3 keys do not turn on the keyboard backlight, 3 and 4 Finger gesture commands on the touchscreen and NFC (Near Field Communication) functions do not work.
This can occur after performing the following sequence:
  1. Dock the soft keyboard.
  2. Pair the computer with the soft keyboard.
  3. Disable Bluetooth.
  4. Undock the soft keyboard.
  5. Wait 15 seconds for the soft keyboard to enter Sleep mode.
  6. Dock the soft keyboard and wait 20 seconds for the keyboard backlight to turn off.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, download and installed the SoftPaq to update the keyboard firmware to the latest version:
