DETAILS OF CHANGE
Common changes for all platforms:
  • Fixed an issue where rollback PPI would not pop up after changing the language to non-English from the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the SecureBoot status display in Windows would not align with F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Fixed an issue where computer would not boot with USB Accu-Chek Smartpix connected.
  • Fixed an issue where the computer boot time was longer than 4 minutes when a joystick is connected.
  • Fixed an issue where legacy boot order would be changed when removing a SATA HDD from the computer.
  • Fixed an issue where the boot order could not be changed by BIOSConfigurationUtility.
  • Fixed an issue where POST could not prompt the virtual keyboard for user.
  • Added the Linux repsetup utility support for Intel platforms.
  • Added Linux Flash utility support for Intel platforms.
  • Added a “NumLock on at Boot” feature in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Changed instances of "DXE Update" to "BIOS Update."
  • Fixed an issue where PXE Boot would not work when CD-ROM Boot is disabled in BIOS.
  • Added the ability to create a POST Power-On Password when the Administrator Password is unknown.
  • Fixed an issue where PXE would not work in UEFI mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the computer would black screen when booting to legacy SATA ODD.
  • Enabled F1 information to be launched when the BIOS power-on password is set.
  • Fixed an issue where a computer with the NVIDIA NVS 310 graphics card would continuously reboot without a monitor connected.
  • Updated Intel RC code to 2.1.0, MCU to 0x9E for SKL-S/U/Y, and 0xA6 for SKL-H.
  • Fixed an issue where the BIOSConfigurationUtility would show AMT enabled on a non-vPro/AMT CPU.
  • Fixed an issue where the computer would hang when the HP S230tm external touch display was connected using a USB port.
  • Fixed an issue where USB optical drive would not work properly with additional USB Devices.
  • Fixed an issue where the Bitlocker recovery key screen would not be launched when the user forgot their PIN and pressed ESC to enter the Bitlocker recovery key.
  • Added an option in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu to suppress user confirmation prompting.
  • Fixed an issue where UEFI Boot would not boot from an SSD/HDD after the USB key initiated MDT.
  • Fixed an issue where the Touch interface would lag during pre-boot authentication.
  • Fixed an issue where the computer would automatically shutdown when running Heaven BenchMark 4.0 Directx11 3D or OpenGL game in AC mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the WLAN/LAN Switching function would not work on a computer that was upgraded/downgraded from different operating system.
  • Fixed an issue where system would hang during a restart test on Device Guard-enabled system.
  • Fixed an issue where the Electronic Label could not be modified after lock manufacture mode.
  • Added WMI to provide 90B FAN error log.
  • Separated the 90B error into two messages.
HP EliteBook 850/840/820 G3, ZBook 15u G3 Mobile Workstation System BIOS 01.14 has the following enhancements added:
  • Fixed an issue where computer would hang after changing the status of “bios date recovery policy” and “Dynamic runtime scanning of boot block” at same time in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Separated the enable/disable external ports option in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the brightness under Privacy mode could not be adjusted using the fn+f5/f6 keys without the HP Hotkey Support driver installed.
  • Fixed an intermittent stability issue with the Samsung 18nm memory.
HP ZBook Studio G3 Mobile Workstation System BIOS 01.16 and HP ZBook 17/15 G3 Mobile Workstation System BIOS 01.14 has the following enhancements added:
  • Fixed an issue where computer would hang after changing the status of “bios date recovery policy” and “Dynamic runtime scanning of boot block” at same time in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Added a command to calibrate the internal DreamColor display brightness.
  • Added S4/S5 WOL support for the HP Docking Station.
  • Removed the USB Preboot option from F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Fixed an issue where boot device could not be found after disabling the USB port in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the HP Docking Station would not work after a BIOS update.
  • Added the new DGPU VBIOS to support new graphics memory suppliers.
  • Separated the enable/disable external ports option in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Added HP Docking Station PXE boot support.
  • Added HP Elite USB-C Dock support.
  • Fixed an issue where the Micron M600 M.2 SED SSD could not be detected after multiple shutdowns.
  • Added UEFI PXE boot to support the ACE USB-C Dock.
HP EliteBook Folio G1 System BIOS 01.12 has the following enhancements added:
  • Fixed an issue where computer would hang after changing the status of “bios date recovery policy” and “Dynamic runtime scanning of boot block” at same time in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Fixed issue where system could not resume from S3 in Windows 7 when Modern Standby was enabled in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the computer to draw more power than expected when it was powered off (S5 state).
  • Fixed an issue where the C9/C10 option would show as disabled when switching to Modern Standby.
  • Fixed an issue where the SCCM USB and NIC connections would intermittently drop when connected to a USB-C Ace Dock.
  • Fixed an issue where the computer would black screen with a white drop-down box (where the user would normally enter the BitLocker PIN) when the computer enabled BitLocker and connected to an HP Docking Station.
  • Fixed an issue where the computer would hang during the Battery Calibration test.
  • Fixed an issue where the boot device could not be found after disabling USB ports in the F10 (BIOS) setup menu.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the computer to draw more power than expected when it was powered off (S5 state).
