HP is aware of the recent vulnerabilities commonly referred to as "Spectre" and "Meltdown". HP has published a security bulletin with patches for these issues and a list of impacted systems. We will continue to update the bulletin as more information becomes available and encourage customers to check the bulletin frequently.

Sprout by HP - Error: HP.SProut.ThreeDSnapshot Has Stopped Working

Sprout 3D Snapshot will not start and displays the following error:

HP.Sprout.ThreeDSnapshot has stopped working

The issue occurs after changing the NVIDIA 3D Settings to "High performance Nvidia".

Restore the NVIDIA default settings as follows:

Open the Windows Control Panel.
Select Hardware and Sound > NVIDIA Control Panel.
Click Manage 3D Settings.
Click Restore.
Click Yes.
Click Apply (This may take several seconds to respond).
