DESCRIPTION

The HP Smart Adapter message appears indicating the AC adapter output is too low for the computer. While the computer is connected to the HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station it requires more power than the 65W adapter can provide and will not charge the computer.

RESOLUTION

The HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 65W docking station does not support the HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 computer. The computer requires more power than the 65W adapter can provide and therefore it cannot provide a sufficient charge. HP recommends using the HP Elite 90W Thunderbolt 3 docking station for this product.
