DESCRIPTION
If an HP desktop, notebook, or workstation is configured with one or more Z Turbo NVMe drives, as described in the SCOPE section, the system may exhibit slow performance with reads and writes.
NOTE
This issue happens only with Windows 7 Operating System.

RESOLUTION
HP has posted a SoftPaq SP74909 that updates the driver of the affected Z Turbo NVMe drives and resolves the issue. Please download Microsoft Windows 7 updates to support NVMe ( SP74909), Version 1.0, Revision A (or later) and read the instructions carefully before proceeding.
NOTE
After installation is complete, make sure that the "storport.sys" driver version is 6.1.7601.23172.
1) Open File Explorer.
2) Go to Windows\System32\drivers.
3) Find storport.sys and right click.
4) Choose Properties
5) Open the Details tab.
6) Check that the Product version is 6.1.7601.23172.
