Press the Power button or switch to turn on the printer, if it is not already on.

From the Home screen on the product control panel, touch the Wireless

button.

Touch Wireless Menu, and then touch Wireless Setup Wizard.

The product scans for available wireless networks and returns a list of network names (SSIDs). Select the SSID for the local network from the list if it is available. If the SSID for the local network is not in the list, touch Enter SSID, and then manually enter the SSID for the local network.

When prompted for the type of network security, select the correct option for the local wireless network. A keypad opens on the control panel display.

If the network uses WPA security, type the WPA passphrase on the keypad.

If the network uses WEP security, type the WEP key on the keypad.

Touch OK, and then wait while the product establishes a network connection. Establishing the wireless network connection can take a few minutes.

If prompted, select the product from the list of similar products on the page.

Select the correct operating system, and then click Next.

Click Driver, and then review the available driver options. The options available vary depending on the product.

Click a driver item to select it, review the driver details, and then click Download.

If the File Download Security Warning window displays, click Save, and then browse to a location on the computer to save the file.

Click Save. The software downloads to the computer. Make note of the saved file location.

When the download is complete, click Open Folder, and then click the downloaded file. The file name ends in .exe.

If the Download Complete screen closed, browse to the saved location for the .exe file, and then click it.

Accept the default place to save the files. Click Next, and then wait while the installer extracts the files to prepare for installation.

The Introduction screen opens. Click the Continue button to proceed.

In the License screen, select the correct language from the menu, read the license agreement, and then click the Continue button.

In the pop-up that opens, click the Agree button to confirm acceptance of the license agreement.

Select the destination for the software installation, and then click the Continue button.

In the Installation Options screen, select whether to perform a standard installation or a custom installation.

For a standard installation, click the Install button now.

For a custom installation, click the Customize button. On the screen that opens, select the components to install, and then click the Install button.

In the password popup that opens, enter the user name and password, and then click the OK button.

The installer program shows a progress bar as the installation process starts. This process can take several minutes.

Read the tips for reducing environmental impact, and then click Continue when finished.

The Add Printer screen opens. For all connection types, click the Add Printer button.

For a network connection, the product should be added to the list automatically. Click the IP button at the top of the screen to add the product by entering the IP address. After the product name is in the list of printers, select the product from the list, and then click the Add button. Click the Continue button.

When the installation completes, the Summary screen appears. Click the Close button to close the installer program.
