HP rp5800 Retail System - Connecting Serial Port Devices While the HP rp5800 is Connected to a Power Outlet Might Damage the Serial Port

This document pertains to the HP rp5800 Retail System and Serial Port (COM) device.
The Serial Port (COM) might become damaged if serial port devices are connected to the rp5800 retail system while it is plugged in to a power outlet.
To avoid this issue, HP recommends that you shut down, and then unplug the rp5800 before you connect or disconnect any serial port devices.
