HP ProBook 4341s Notebook PC - Removing and Replacing the SIM Card

Introduction
This document is provided to assist in removing and replacing the SIM card for the HP ProBook 4341s Notebook PC.
Minimum skill level
The end user requires no hardware-specific training to replace the defective part. The end user should have familiarity with system hardware and software requiring repair.
Tools required
  • Small, Phillips-head P1 screwdriver
  • Flat-bladed alignment tool
Summary of instructions
To view a video demonstrating the procedure for removing the SIM card, click here to view the HP Services Media Library and then click on Remove/Replace videos. On the new window, select SIM card from the menu on the upper left hand side of the screen.
SIM card removal
  1. Review the safety considerations before performing the steps listed below by clicking on the following link:
      caution:
    Failure to comply with the precautions could result in damage to the product or loss of data.
  2.   caution:
    To avoid data corruption, make sure that the battery or external power is not connected during removal or replacement of the SIM card.
  3. Slide the SIM card bracket door to the unlocked position.
  4. Raise the SIM card bracket.
  5. Grasp the SIM card and pull it out of the SIM card bracket.
SIM card replacement
  1. With the contact side face down, and the notch at the top, slide the SIM card into the SIM card bracket.
  2. Lower the SIM card bracket.
  3. Slide the SIM card bracket door to the locked position.
