HP Photosmart Premium e-All-in-One Printer Series (C310) - Alignment Page Does Not Print

Issue
After you install new cartridges, the product does not print an alignment page as expected.
Solution
Follow these steps to reset and align the product.
  1. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
  2. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
  5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  7. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button () to turn it on.
  1. Raise and hold the output tray in the open position.
  2. Slide the paper width guide to its outermost position.

  3. Insert the stack of paper into the input tray with the short edge forward and the print side down.

  4. Adjust the paper width guide so that it rests against the stack of paper.

  5. Lower the output tray, and then pull the tray extender towards you, as far as it will go. Flip up the paper catch at the end of the tray extender.

Step three: Align the All-in-One
After you load plain white paper, touch OK on the product control panel. The product automatically prints an alignment page to align the cartridges.
If the product fails to align automatically, follow these steps to align the product manually.
  1. Open HP Solution Center:
    • Windows XP: Click Start, click All Programs, click HP, and then click HP Solution Center.
    • Windows Vista or Windows 7: Click the Windows icon (), click All Programs, click HP, and then click HP Solution Center.
    HP Solution Center opens in a new window.
  2. In HP Solution Center, click Settings ().
  3. In the Print Settings area, click Printer Toolbox. The printer Toolbox opens in a new window.
  4. Click Align the Print Cartridges ().
  5. Click Print Page. The product prints an alignment page.
