Front panel displays an icon or message indicating that the printhead or ink cartridge needs to be replaced. How can the warranty date on the printhead or cartridge be verified?

The color printhead warranty is as follows:

• 18 months from manufacturing date or 200 milliliters

The black printhead warranty is as follows:

• 18 months from manufacturing date or 530 milliliters

To determine the manufacturing date for the printhead head, refer to the pouch the printhead was shipped in. It will read as YYMMDDhhmm (year, month, day, hour, minute). For example, 9903231113 should be read as March 23, 1999.

The ink cartridge end-of-warranty date is 27 months past the manufacturing date (821 days). This date is printed on the ink cartridge.
