Troubleshooting Slow Webcam on Battery Power

This document pertains to HP Notebook PCs with Windows Vista.
The HP webcam is slow when running on battery power and does not detect wireless networks
The notebook PC webcam is slow or lags when the notebook PC is running on battery power. The wireless device is not detected.
Installing new webcam driver in Vista with Service Pack 2
Anytime you are experiences problems with your webcam, you should verify that you are using Vista with Service Pack 2. Service Pack 2 includes a new webcam driver that resolves many of the webcam errors. Use the Windows Update function to install all updates, patches, and service packs. If this does not resolve your problem, continue with the following.
Installing updated BIOS
To resolve this issue, go to the HP Drivers and Downloads page, download and install the latest version of your BIOS.
