Webcam problems can be divided into two categories; those caused by missing or incompatible hardware drivers, and those caused by incorrectly configured video display applications. You can test the basic functionality of the webcam using a known good webcam hardware driver, and an Instant Messenger application with video display capability. Once you have determined that the webcam works, you can adjust the quality of the image or use a more sophisticated application to manipulate the image.
In rare cases, when there is a problem with the physical hardware, you will need to contact HP Support for technical assistance or repair service.
