HP Single-Function and Multi-Function Printers - The Printer Is Not Listed in HP Solution Center After Upgrading to Windows 7

Issue
After upgrading your computer from Windows XP or Windows Vista to the Windows 7 operating system, your product no longer appears in HP Solution Center.
Solution
Follow these steps to uninstall the in-OS driver, and then install the full version of the HP software for Windows 7 with the CD that came with the product, or from the HP Web site.
Step one: Uninstall the HP software
  1. Disconnect the USB cable from the HP product.
  2. On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon (), and then click All Programs.
  3. Point to HP, and then point to the folder with the name and model number of your product.
     note:
If an HP folder is not present, or your product is not listed in the HP program folder, continue to the next step.
  4. Click Uninstall, and then follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the in-OS driver.
  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. If your printer is connected to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the cable from the printer.
  3. If prompted, select a method to identify your printer model, and then follow the on-screen instructions to go to the download page.
  4. Click Download next to the full feature driver (recommended), or click Basic Drivers for other driver options.
