HP Touchpoint Manager - Using the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Feature with HP Touchpoint Manager
Using personal devices for work or school is commonly described as Bring Your Own Device or BYOD, and HP Touchpoint Manager actively supports this feature.
Does HP Touchpoint Manager support BYOD?
During enrollment a user can designate a device as either Personal or Company Owned.
To do this, select Devices from the menu bar, select a device, and then select Company Device or Personal Device.

How does HP Touchpoint Manager ensure individual privacy for BYOD devices?
An IT administrator cannot erase, locate, or disable the camera for enrolled personal devices without the device owner’s permission. On the other hand, an organization’s security policies – Standard, Enhanced, Maximum, or Custom – can be enforced on devices designated as company-owned.
What happens if an IT administrator changes a BYOD device designation from personal to company-owned?
If for some reason, an IT administrator changes the device designation from personal to company-owned, the device owner is notified by email of the change. At that point the device owner needs to contact the IT administrator to resolve any issues with device ownership.
