HP Printers - Mobile Printing Solutions Compatible with HP Printers

This document is for HP printers that support wireless or cloud printing from mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
Many mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, provide a way for you to print over a wireless network or the web to your HP printer. Use one of the following sections to see which mobile printing solutions work with your HP printer, learn more about specific mobile printing solutions, and find answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs).

HP ePrint is a secure cloud-based service that lets you print from anywhere that you have Internet access. Set up your web-enabled printer with HP ePrint and print from most computers and mobile devices that have an active Internet connection. To print with the HP ePrint service, you email the document or photo you want to print directly and securely to your printer. If you can access email, you can print with HP ePrint.

Print photos, documents, web pages, emails all through the app, or print from cloud services such as Dropbox and Google Drive from any location that you have Internet access to your network-connected printer.

HP wireless direct
Use a direct wireless connection between your printer and laptop or mobile device to print.

Print securely to most network-connected HP printers with the HP Print Service Plugin, a built-in printing solution for Android smartphones and tablets. On many Android 4.4 or later devices, such as the Nexus 5, the HP Print Service Plugin comes pre-installed. If the HP Print Service Plugin is not pre-installed on your mobile device, you can install the HP Print Service Plugin for free from the Google Play store.

Mopria Print Service
The Mopria Print Service is a mobile printing standard supported by many HP printers. When you activate the Mopria Print Service on your Android mobile device, you can print over a wireless network or through a direct wireless connection to the printer.

NFC touch-to-print
Near field communication (NFC) touch-to-print enables you to print from your Android mobile device directly to your NFC-capable HP printer without joining a local network or connecting to the Internet.

Wi-Fi Direct
