Frequently asked questions
Review this section for frequently asked questions.
What happened to the Manager Tools app?
HP has transitioned its management advice content provider. Printers that had the Manager Tools printable have been transitioned to the Tony Robbins (for English) or Communication Success (for French and Spanish) Printables.
On some printers, the Tony Robbins or Communication Success app icons might not display on the printer after the change, even though the app is enabled for scheduled printing.
  • If the Tony Robbins or Communication Success icon does not display on your printer and you want to stop or pause scheduled printing, start with the method to manage scheduled printing through the HP website earlier in this document.
  • If you want to add the icon to your printer control panel, follow these steps to add the app.
These steps apply to Canada, France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
  1. Go to HP Connected, and then sign in to your account.
  2. Click Services, and then click Printables.
  3. Click the Printable that you want to add to your printer, and then click Schedule this Printable.
  4. Click Continue, select your preferred subscription settings, and then click Save.
These steps apply to all countries/regions except Canada, France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
  1. Sign in to your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter.
  2. Click the Printers tab, and then click My Print Apps.
  3. Click Get Apps, and then click the Print App that you want to add to your printer. A page opens and briefly describes the Print App.
  4. Click Add to Printer to add the Print App to your printer.
What happens if I disable Web Services?
HP recommends that you leave Web Services enabled so that you can continue to access all of your printer’s web-enabled features. Try the other methods to pause or stop Printables before you disable Web Services.
 note:
If you disable Web Services, HP recommends that you re-enable Web Services to receive the most recent firmware updates.
If you disable Web Services, your printer does not automatically check for firmware updates. If your printer does not have access to automatic firmware updates, your printer could be out of date.
Disabling Web Services eliminates your ePrint email address and removes all Scheduled Delivery apps. When you re-enable Web Services, you cannot use the same ePrint email address.
Disabling Web Services removes you from HP Instant Ink. If you subscribe to the HP Instant Ink program and you disable Web Services, you must re-enroll in the HP Instant Ink program.
