HP Designjet 500ps - Mac OS: Print Jobs Are Clipped at 100 Inches When Printing
Documents intended to be longer than 100 inches are clipped at 100 inches, when printed from a Macintosh.
For jobs longer than 100 inches, make a preview in the HP Designjet 500ps RIP software before printing. To preview a job, follow these steps.
When printing from an application, bring up the print dialog box by clicking File and choosing Print.
In the print dialog box, click General and choose Printer Specific Options.
Change the setting called After Spooling from Print to Hold.
Change any other settings, as needed, in Printer Specific Options then click Print.
When the spool file appears in the HP Designjet 500ps RIP software window, double-click the spool file.
A window called Job Properties will appear.
In the upper right corner of the Job Properties window, click No Preview and choose either Per Page Preview or Layout Preview.
After the preview is complete, verify that the entire document appears in the preview thumbnail then click OK.
In the HP Designjet 500ps RIP software window, highlight the spool file that was previewed then click Send Job.
The document will now print in its entirety.
At this time, the HP Designjet 500ps RIP software is not able to take enough resources in the computer to do the RIP process. If a preview is done, the HP Designjet 500ps RIP software is able to release the necessary resources from the computer to handle the RIP process.
