HP Designjet 700 Series Printers - MacOS: Rotated Pages Print Larger Than Page Size Specified With PostScript (R)
The HP DesignJet 700, HP DesignJet 750C with PostScript (R), HP DesignJet 750C Plus with PostScript, and HP DesignJet 755CM ( A and B models) will add 24 millimeters to rotated plots. If the front control panel rotation setting is either 90 degrees or 270 degrees, then the output will have 24 millimeters added to the page size, with 12 millimeters added to the top, and 12 millimeters added to the bottom. For example, if the page size selected is 24" x 36", the printed plot will measure 25" x 36".
This is a normal function of the printer. If a specific page dimension is required, then a custom page size may be defined using the HP LaserJet 8.3.1 printer driver.
According to the Division, the HP DesignJet 650C with PostScript would clip rotated plots. To overcome that issue, the HP DesignJet 700, HP DesignJet 750C with PostScript, HP DesignJet 750C Plus with PostScript, and HP DesignJet 755CM (A and B models), printers were designed to add to the size of rotated plots. Rotated plots printed in the Windows environment using Postscript will also have the extra 24 millimeters.
