HP LaserJet Printers - Mac OS: EPS Files Will not Print Correctly When Connected via USB
When printing some EPS files to a printer using either the printer's built-in USB port or an HP Jetdirect USB solution, the printer will not print correctly. The printer may print out a blank page, one page with garbage text, many pages with garbage text, or the printer may just drop the print job.
The following workarounds may solve this issue:
Make sure that the program is sending the EPS file to the printer as ASCII data (some programs default to Binary). This is usually an option found within the application, or as an added option to the driver from the application.
Open Adobe® PhotoShop or some other program capable of changing the data encoding of a file. Then, re-save the file in the ASCII data format.
