HP 9S Calculator - Using Memory

The memory in the HP 9S calculator can be used to store variables to be used in calculations. This is an accumulative memory location. Operations that can be performed using the memory are shown in the following table:
Operation
Result
Press XM.
Adds the current result to the memory.
Press MR.
Recalls the value in memory. Recalling the value does not delete the contents of memory.
Press 0, then XM, or Press CE, then XM.
Clears the value in memory.
When a number is stored in memory, the M indicator is shown on the display.
 note:
Memory is not available in statistics mode.
See Figure 1 for an example of memory usage.
