HP 48gII, 49g Series Calculator - Using the Keytime Feature

Introduction
Key-bounce occurs when a key is pressed once, but it registers more than one connection from that single press. The calculator uses an anti-bounce system to prevent key-bounce. When the system detects that a key is in the down position, it activates the key in the keyboard buffer. It saves the keystroke, and if the system detects the same key a second time, it checks for the elapsed time from the first detection. This time is compared to the time set in the KEYTIME feature. If the time is longer than the time specified in KEYTIME, then the keystroke is sent to the keyboard buffer. Otherwise, the keystroke is ignored.
Information
The delay time can be adjusted using the KEYTIME command. The KEYTIME is set as a unit of 1/8192 of a second. The default is set at 1365 units; therefore, the default is 1365/8192 of a second. You can experiment with the KEYTIME setting to find what works best for you.
Example of changing the KEYTIME
Here is an example of changing the KEYTIME.

 note:
The Maximum value that will be stored in KEYTIME (no matter what number is entered) is 4096. This is equal to 1/2 of a second.
Resetting the calculator will return the KEYTIME value to its default setting of 1365 units.
