HP Jornada 520, 525, 540, 545, 547, and 548 - Tip for Easily Removing Type II CF Card from Atek's CF Pocket Adapter
The Type II CF Cards, including IBM Microdrives, can sometimes be difficult to remove from the Atek CF Pocket Compact Flash Type I to Type II Adapter.
Making a pull-tab
The Atek CF Pocket Compact Flash Type I to Type II Adapter does not have an ejector mechanism. To make it easier to remove CF Cards from the Atek CF Pocket Compact Flash Type I to Type II Adapter, make a little pull-tab as follows:
Cut a 2-inch long piece of clear adhesive tape.
1/2-inch from the top of the strip of tape, fold the tape down on itself (sticky sides facing each other) to create a 1/2-inch section that is not sticky on either side.
Affix the remaining 1-inch sticky section of tape to the back of your CompactFlash card. If you are using an IBM Microdrive, affix the tape slightly off-center to avoid covering the vent hole on the card.
Using this pull-tab will make it easier to remove cards.
