HP 300LX and 320LX Palmtop PCS - Pocket Excel Limitation on the HP 300 Series

Issue:
You purchased a new FlashDisk Card, and want to format it for the HP 300LX Series Palmtop PC.
Solution
When an unformatted PC Card is inserted into the HP 300LX Series Palmtop PC, the system recognizes the card and detects that it has not been formatted. The HP 300LX Series Palmtop PC then displays the following PC Card warning message:
"Would you like to format this PC Card so that your H/PC can use it? Warning: If you choose Yes, all information currently stored on this PC Card will be erased!"
If you tap on the No box, the HP 300LX Series Palmtop PC will ignore the FlashDisk Card. If you choose the Yes box, the card will be formatted.
After the formatting has been completed, another PC Card message appears, which reads:
"The PC Card has been successfully formatted."
Choose OK to close the dialog box. The PC Card folder should now appear in the display of folders whenever the My Computer icon is double-clicked.
If the FlashDisk Card had been formatted and used before, perhaps with an HP 200LX, the HP 300LX Series Palmtop PC will not prompt you to format the card.
