HP CD-ROM Server for Ethernet Networks - Mounting a Network Drive in UNIX (R) (NFS)

Issue:
How to mount a CD-ROM server on the UNIX network.
Before you begin: You will need root privileges to mount the CD-ROM server.
Solution
On UNIX systems the CD-ROM server is accessed using NFS. To access the server, you will have to do the following:
  1. Create a directory for the CD-ROM server.
    mkdir <directory>
    Example:
    mkdir /hpcd
  2. Mount the CD-ROM server.
    mount <IP address or host name>:/ <directory>
    Example:
    mount cdserv:/ /hpcd
     note:
The <IP address or host name> is the IP address or host name assigned to the CD-ROM server during TCP/IP configuration.
