HP 2500C Professional Series Color Printer - Receiving Error Code 33 after Upgrading to PCL 5

Issue:
After installing the PCL 5Ce Upgrade Kit (C3390A) and attempting to print using the PCL 5 driver, the error message NCODE = 1, ERRORCODE1 = 33 may appear.
Solution
After upgrading the base firmware and installing the C3390A PCL 5Ce Upgrade Kit, the printer has to be reset back to factory defaults. Review the following instructions:
  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Press the MENU button until the RESETS MENU appears.
  3. Press the ITEM button until the RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS option appears.
  4. Press the SELECT button to reset the printer.
  5. Align the printheads according to the instructions in the User's Guide. If the message NCODE = 1, ERRORCODE1 = 33 returns, follow the steps below:
    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Remove the PCL 5C Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM).
    3. Turn on the printer.
    4. Press the MENU button until the RESETS MENU appears.
    5. Press the ITEM button until the RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS option appears.
    6. Press the SELECT button to reset the printer.
    7. Turn off the printer.
    8. Install the PCL 5Ce DIMM.
    9. Turn on the printer.
    10. Press the MENU button until the RESETS MENU appears.
    11. Press the ITEM button until the RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS option appears.
    12. Press the SELECT button to reset the printer.
    13. Align the printheads according to the instructions in the User's Guide. If the message NCODE = 1, ERRORCODE1 = 33 returns, the PCL 5Ce DIMM may be defective. Contact the HP Customer Care Center.
