HP 2000C series color printers work well with most types of paper, although variables in paper composition may affect print quality and paper handling. Bond paper, such as letterhead, provides excellent quality. Paper should be tested to ensure best performance.

Performance information
HP 2000C series printers print a true 600 dots per inch (dpi). In Normal mode, 300 x 300 dpi data is sent, which the printer converts to 600 x 600 dpi. This happens very quickly because the conversion uses a hard-coded table to convert to 600 x 600 dpi rather than an on-the-fly algorithm.
In Best mode, 600 x 600 dpi data is sent to the printer and used directly. Although somewhat slower than Normal mode, this approach produces the highest quality.
When printing in color, data is always sent as 300 x 300 dpi.
Internal fonts are stored as outlines that are rendered directly to 600 x 600 dpi or 300 x 300 dpi, depending upon the print mode.
