HP Deskjet 1100C Series Printers - Print Skew

Issue:
How can I measure print skew on my HP Deskjet 1100 series printer?
Solution
To verify the print skew, perform a self-test.
  1. Turn the printer on.
  2. Press and hold the Power button, press the Cancel button once, and release the Power button.
     note:
The self-test page should have one box labeled with A, B, C, or D on each corner of the page. A and B should be in the upper-left and right corners; C and D should be in the lower-left and right corners.
To check the printer top skew:
  1. Fold the self-test page vertically, until A meets B.
  2. Make sure the top edge is even.
  3. Hold the folded self-test page in front of a light source to examine it. The black box beside A must overlap or at least touch the box beside B.
  4. The top skew test has failed if the boxes do not touch each other. Contact the appropriate HP Customer Support Center listed in the User's Guide.
To check the printer feed skew:
  1. Fold the self-test page horizontally, until A meets C.
  2. Make sure the long-side edge is even.
  3. Hold the folded self-test page in front of a light source to examine it. The black box beside A must overlap or at least touch the box beside C.
  4. The feed skew test has failed if the boxes do not touch each other. Contact the appropriate HP Customer Support Center listed in the User's Guide.
