After connecting the printer to your computer, Windows does not automatically install the built-in print driver.
Removing the printer and its drivers from the computer can help clear any error states or partial installs.
For USB connections, disconnect the cable from the printer.
Turn off the printer.
In Windows, search for and open Printers & scanners.
Look for and select the name of your printer in the list.
Click Remove or Remove Device > Yes.
Manually add your printer to Windows to install the built-in print driver.
