When the printer status is not correct or the printer will not print anything from the computer, completely uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling it might fix the issue.
Use these steps to uninstall the printer in Windows 7.

Select the printer to be uninstalled, and click Remove device at the top of the window.Figure : Devices and Printers menu

A message displays to confirm the printer uninstall. Click Yes.Figure : Click Yes to uninstall printer

After uninstalling the printer, uninstall the printer driver as well. Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.Figure : Start menu

Click Uninstall a program.Figure : Control Panel menu

In the Programs and Features menu, click on the model printer driver and then click Uninstall.Figure : Programs and Features menu

In the installation wizard, follow the steps to completely uninstall the printer.

Once the printer driver is completely removed, click Finish to close the wizard.
note:After uninstalling the printer, the printer no longer displays in the Devices and Printers list. Go to Software and Driver Downloads and enter your model printer into the search text box to download the latest driver.
