HP DesignJet Printers - Printing from Windows, D-Size Plots Are Clipped When Printing to a D-Size Printer
From Windows, when printing a D-size print on a D-size printer, why does the image appear to rotate to a landscape orientation causing the plot to be clipped?
When printing from Windows, the image will always print in the same orientation as shown on the screen. The only exception would be if the page that is selected is the maximum size that the printer can do, such as, a D-size plot on a D-size printer.
When this situation occurs, the driver realizes that it has to rotate the image for it to fit on the page. This will not happen if an E-size printer driver is selected in Windows when the customer has a D-size printer. The driver will assume it can still fit in the landscape orientation.
Check the driver selection in Windows and match the model number or size with the actual printer.
