HP Consumer Notebook PCs - Noise may emit from speakers when CPU reaches 100% usage during Windows Update

DESCRIPTION
The Central Processing Unit (CPU) might reach 100% usage and noise might emit from the speakers while Windows Update is in process.
This issue occurs after the Out of Box Experience.

  • Microsoft Windows 10 20H1 (Version 2004)
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
  1. Update the ACP driver to version 6.0.0.1 or later by typing update in the search field next to the Start button, and then select Check for updates.
  2. Download and install the AMD High-Definition Graphic version 27.20.15002.118 or later.

    In order to complete the driver update, keep the AC power adapter connected to the computer, and wait for the update process to complete. The firmware update will close automatically when completed.
  3. Restart the computer.
