This document explains how to digitize with the HP ColorPro plotter. Use the following steps:
Install the software package, as directed by the software documentation.
Load a pen into the carousel.
Press PEN SELECT button corresponding to the carousel stall number where the pen was placed.
When the software prompts, press PEN UP/DOWN button to raise the pen. Use the CURSOR CONTROL buttons to position the pen directly over the point to digitize.
Press the ENTER button to send the point to the computer. Depending on the software's requirements, you may need to press a key such as RETURN on the computer's keyboard.
What is digitizing on a plotter?
Digitizing means moving the pen to a point on the plotting surface, entering the point, and sending the X, Y coordinates of that point to the computer. The process converts a physical position (defined by X, Y coordinates) to numerical information that can be understood by the computer.
