Learn how to copy a two-sided document using the document feeder or the scanner on the printer.
The steps vary according to the type of control panel.

Find your printer control-panel type in the options below, and then follow the steps to copy a two-sided document.
Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 3 touchscreen control panel.
In addition to the instructions below, you can view the following video of how to copy on both sides of the paper.
Place the document face-down on the scanner glass, or place it face-up in the document feeder and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.
From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Copy button.
Touch the Sides button, and then touch one of the following options:
1-sided original, 2-sided output: Select this option to make a two-sided copy from a one-sided original.
2-sided original, 2-sided output: Select this option to make a two-sided copy from a two-sided original.
2-sided original, 1-sided output: Select this option to make a one-sided copy from a two-sided original.
Touch the OK button.
Touch the Copy button to begin copying.
Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 4 or 5 touchscreen control panel.

Place the document face-down on the scanner glass, or place it face-up in the document feeder and adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the document.
From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch Copy.
Touch the arrow under Sides to view available options.
Under Original Sides, touch the option that describes the original document:
1-sided: Select this option for originals that are printed on one side of the page.
2-sided : Select this option for originals that are printed on both sides of the page.
Pages Flip Up: Select the checkbox if you want the printed pages to flip-up (like a wall calendar).
Under Output Sides, touch one of these options:
Match original: The output will match the format of the original. For example, if the original is 1-sided, the output will be 1-sided. However, if the administrator has restricted 1-sided printing and the original is 1-sided, the output will be 2-sided book-style.
This feature is not available for all firmware versions. You might need to update the printer firmware to use this feature.
1-sided: The output will be 1-sided. However, if the administrator has restricted 1-sided printing, the output will be 2-sided book-style.
2-sided: The output will be 2-sided.
Pages Flip Up: Select the checkbox if you want the printed pages to flip-up (like a wall calendar).
Touch Done.
Adjust any other settings, as needed. Touch Done (if prompted) to save each setting.
Optional Preview: Touch the right pane on the screen to preview the document. Use the Expand and Collapse buttons on the left side of the preview pane to expand and collapse the preview.

On the preview screen, use the buttons on the right side to adjust the preview and to rearrange, rotate, insert, or remove pages.

To adjust the number of copies, touch the field to the left of the Copy button, and then enter the number of copies using the touch keypad. Touch Done to close the keypad.
Touch Copy to begin copying.
