Even if you have already completed the upgrade, you should review the instructions to find steps to take after the upgrade.
Recovery manager stops working
Unless your computer came from the factory with Windows 10, Recovery Manager must be downloaded and installed to successfully perform a system recovery using HP Recovery Manager.
To download and install the new Recovery Manager software, use one of the following HP software updates.
If you are not sure which download is needed for your computer, please return to the top of the page and enter your serial number or product name in the search bar to find the appropriate product page.
note:When you click the link, the file is downloaded using your Internet browser download capabilities.
Problems with Windows 10 activation
To verify that you have a genuine copy of Windows 10 that has not been used on more devices than the license agreement calls for, your Windows 10 needs to be activated. Depending on where you acquired your copy of Windows 10, activation occurs using either a digital entitlement or a 25-character product key.
See HP support document Windows 10 Product Activation for more information about activating Windows 10.
Update or reinstall hardware drivers
Whether you are experiencing a problem with the touchscreen, touchpad, or webcam, the most common solution for Windows 10 problems is to upgrade the drivers for your computer.
Download and install the latest Windows 10 software and drivers from HP. See Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers.
If you purchased your computer prior to August 2013, HP has not tested or developed drivers for your computer model. Some features might not work, or the installation might not be successful. For these products, see Where Do I Find Windows 10 Drivers and Software for My Model?
