HP Deskjet, Officejet, Photosmart, and PSC All-in-Ones - Windows: Wrong or Duplicate Scanning Devices Are Listed in HP Director or HP Solution Center

Issue
HP Director or HP Solution Center shows the wrong scanning product (device), or lists the same scanning device more than once. Duplicate scanning devices usually display something similar to "CopyXXX" (where XXX is a copy number) next to the product name.
Choose the HP software installed on your computer (HP Solution Center or HP Director), and then try the following solutions in the order presented to resolve the issue. When one of the solutions resolves the issue, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
 note:
