Can I print from the ePrint mobile app with NFC touch-to-print?
The HP ePrint mobile app supports Near Field Communication (NFC) touch-to-print on select mobile devices and printers. Check the following requirements to use this wireless printing method.
  • The most current version of the HP ePrint mobile app must be installed. Go to Getting Started with HP ePrint Mobile Apps to learn more.
  • The mobile device must have NFC capability and run Android OS version 4.0 and later. Check your mobile device's manufacturer specifications to learn more.
     note:
Apple iOS devices supporting NFC currently do not support NFC printing. NFC on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is currently restricted to use in Apple apps only. HP is continuing to work with our industry partners to make NFC touch-to-print available on other platforms and devices.
  • NFC touch-to-print is available on select HP printers that support NFC. Go to HP Products - Getting Started with Touch-to-Print (Near Field Communication) to learn more.
  • NFC touch-to-print requires a wireless connection to the printer via a wireless access point or HP Wireless Direct. This operation is fully automatic and managed by the app. The device is temporarily disconnected from the Internet in order to connect to the printer. After printing, the device automatically disconnects from the printer and reconnects to the Internet.
